While the streets and wilderness of Anthenia was his home, Taengea was his hunting grounds. Whenever the season came around and the markets were busy Belen would normally travel up to the forests of Taengea in order to hunt and sell of the rewards of labours to the highest bidder. Taengea could perhaps be called his second one, an area were he spent many summer days and nights, he had even spent a few weeks there during his long recovery. Yet summer was ending, and the hunting season was gone. No Belen was travelling for more important reasons.
Ever since the attack after the king's death, the entirety of Athenia had seemed of turned on itself, no one of common practice knew who to trust and trade had momentarily fallen, throwing the market places into a tide of panic. Even the Princess was nowhere to be seen, and despite Belen’s views upon the royal blood, he could see the loss of faith within the common people of Athenia. It had been a sober time within the kingdom he called home.
Therefore his interest only peaked when he came in contact with the lord of Argyris himself. There conversation was short and to the point, the lord did not waste words in his task, and his coin spoke volumes of the emergency of the situation. It was rather strange that a lord would hire a hunter to deliver a letter to Taengea out of all places. Yet Belen was no idiot, he knew something had to be amiss for the lord not to take one of his usual couriers. Discretion was advised within his task to deliver the letter, and the order to burn the letter was anything but comforting, but Belen could handle himself and his talents meant it wouldn't be too hard to find Lord Iason.
The journey to Taengea wasn't difficult by any means, however he had taken caution as not to be followed, veering off from the normal roads towards the kingdom, and marching through the wilderness. Only down side was it added about another day to his journey, but Belen wasn't one to get lost and easily made it to the kingdom within the week.
Although travelling was the easy part, the difficult task was actually locating the lord. He had been in Athenia during the attack, so there was always a chance that he could of fallen during the attack or died during his escape. However there was just as good of a chance he had survived and was lurking within the higher grounds of Taengea, and if Belen knew one thing it was patience, he was deterred by a few days of gathering no information, he knew how to stake out the area in order to gain information. It was only through long hours of wandering through markets or lurking through the higher echelons did he gather faint whispers about lord Iason residing within the Archontiko Dimitrou.
Yet that did appear to be a slightly harder task than he had anticipated, Belen didn’t look like the friendliest of people nowadays due to unfortunate events, and due to the recents events involving Iason security was bound to be high. He knew his hot temper wouldn't help him when accused and questioned by the guards, so Belen would have to stay on his best behaviour if he didn’t want to be turned away by the guards instantly. Compliance wasn't his thing.
When he eventually was confronted by guards, he was met with unwavering stares, with a few odd glances thrown in. Although by now he was use to that. Explaining the situations the odd glances didn't exactly disappear, instead growing in numbers. Despite this he was eventually allowed entry after showing the seal of the letter and relinquishing all of his weapons, he wasn’t entirely happy to do so, however he was not going to forget all the progress he had made to get to this point, and with a healthy grumble he let his bow from his grip. When brought into the manor, accompanied by a guard, he was told someone a servant perhaps had been sent off to either find Lord Iason or alert the people of the home. All Belen could hope for now was not to be turned away.
