He was home. Perhaps some would question his loyalty to his family, or even his sense of responsibility, but they couldn’t argue with the fact that he had, indeed, showed up. He was in Athenia, for he didn’t know for how long. Could be a couple months, could be forever. He knew what his family wanted for him to settle down, take up his place as heir and perform his duty as baron. But was that what he wanted? He was not quite sure. He felt like the world was splitting him in half of what he needed to do. On one hand, he loved his family, and they needed him, but on the other hand, if he stopped sailing he might never find Sokari. The thought was almost unbearable. But, he was beginning to see that he did not have much of a choice. Sort of. Adrestus knew he at least owed his family to hear them out, and see if he was actually needed back. So here he was, in Athenia, and Nikolaos family, well, they were having a party.
It was a reunion for all of them, more or less. Adrestus hadn’t quite been able to speak with his siblings or parents in months, and he had only arrived not so long ago. This was the perfect time to catch up with what has been happening, and to figure out what needed to be done now that he was here. He heard music already playing as he got himself ready for the party, light colored chiron and all. His hair was nicely groomed and he took a breath. Well, it was going to all be fun, right?
Admittedly, he still felt weird being on land. After years of sailing he had only just gotten his own ship, but he had in fact kept up the family business off on his adventures. He had retained a bit of wealth and, well, wine and alcoholic drinks from all across the lands. Instead of going straight to where the party was being held, he motioned for the servant to see to it that bottles were brought in to display his, well, basically peace offering of different drinks he had acquired.
Once he was sure this was being carried out, he made his way to enter. The music was still playing, but for now, Adrestus did not pay much attention. He smiled as he made his way towards the food that was put out, consisted of fruit, bread, meat, among other things. A kitchen servant offered him fish, in which he happily took and started chewing. He stood up even straighter as he saw his bottles being brought in and he strode towards where they were being put. He poured himself a glass, and spoke aloud, “This one is from Taengea,” He grinned softly as he put the glass to his mouth and allowed the liquid to pour into his mouth. “It’s really a great day for a celebration, the gods have blessed us.”
