[attr="class","ic_location2"] [attr="class","ic_year"]Out of Character [attr="class","ic_message_border2"] [attr="class","ic_message_border"] [attr="class","ooc_message"] Do you ever find yourself referencing certain films in your life over and over again? To the point that it influences how you respond to people or how you think about situations?? Well, this is a bit of a different twist on simply naming your favorite movies. Instead, I want to know what films influence your writing. How you chat to people in discord or in pm. What you think about from a movie as soon as someone says something in particular. Which movies give you the most muse for without fanfiction? Your task is easy. List your movies with a brief description in how they influence you! These don't have to be favorite flicks and it's not a competition for the best movies on film. Use those particular feel-good guilty pleasures that people might giggle about. No judgment! We all have guilty pleasures! I've started first and you may follow in kind!

Gone with the Wind - My biggest muse. I can make a plot out of every character relationship in this movie. I don’t care that it’s a classic.. that it’s 3 hours long. I will fight anyone who says it’s boring and I wish more people would say “Yes!!” when I ask them if they’ve seen it.
Mean Girls - …Ok I can revert any social circumstance back to mean girls. I can also use gifs in literally every conversation on discord with some quote from mean girls. Don’t believe me? Try me.
Pride & Prejudice ( Keira Knightly version) - yeah yeah yeah. There’s debate as to which version is better. I’m sticking to this one. A ) it’s shorter and more manageable. B ) Matthew Macfadyen is adorbs in this. Fight me. C ) Again, with all of the character relationships. I can make a plot out of every relationship in this version and twist it to fit in the world I’m writing in.
Legally Blonde - More gif fodder! So much fodder and replies for all manner of conversation.
Clueless - I mean… sure it’s a modern version of Emma. But Cher’s vapid cluelessness influences a lot of my more innocent characters. I love the matchmakers. I love rolling with the homies. I love phones the size of your face. Also, it's one of those ones I can reference in general for gif fodder.
Now that I’ve successfully shown my age…. who’s up next??

[attr="class","ic_location2"] [attr="class","ic_year"]Out of Character [attr="class","ic_message_border2"] [attr="class","ic_message_border"] [attr="class","ooc_message"]The Proposal: I have rewatched this film soo many times and it just never gets old for me. I love Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock so this film is just such a satisfying union! It's funny, it's romantic and there a naked scene which is HALARIOUUUSSS. Defs should watch if you haven't.
Inglorious Bastards: The all star cast, that brutal WWII backdrop, and the classic Tarantino blood staining all make for a very well made film. Love.
Desperado:Antonio Banderas at his absolute best! He couldn't speak English at the time of this film, and he memorized the entire script in English! It's a classic and will always be a favorite.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1: I don't think this needs explanation.
Indian Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark: I love all Spielberg/Lucas babies and their bastard ones too, but if I had to choose, it would be Indy. Everytime.

I feel so much of this speaks volumes about my life and especially since I am a teacher. I see it all over again every.day. The quotes never stop.
Newsies: I am a huge musicals fan. This is by far my favorite (well before Greatest Showman came out). There is something about historical musicals that really get me. I am also a fan of Evita. I have a bachelor's degree in history and I just think that they embody me. Also, make sure to seize the day and Christian Bale was so sexy.
A plethora of Christmas Cheese: Christmas Prince, Christmas Inheritance, The Spirit of Christmas, Christmas Wedding Planner, and many many more. They are romantic fodder of the best kind. Whether it is falling in love in three days to the most ridiculous misunderstandings... I LOVE IT ALL. This is my guilty pleasure and think it is fantastic. And so me.
The Lion King: This inspired the very first RP I was ever in. And let's just say I freaking still love it. Btw, that was over 20 years ago in an AOL 4.0 chatroom... old school.
Anastasia: If I were a princess, I wanna be this one. I love the whole damn story.
